Mandela Effect & the 5th Dimension

How to tell if it's a false memory?

Look for sensory details to indicate true memories.

Some researchers have found that real memories have more details, especially about the way things look, hear, feel, taste, or smell. If you're trying to figure out if your memory is real, examine how detailed and complete it is.

What mental illness has false memories?

Our review suggests that individuals with PTSD, a history of trauma, or depression are at risk for producing false memories when they are exposed to information that is related to their knowledge base. Memory aberrations are notable characteristics of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression.

How many people have false memories?

False memories are events recalled by a witness that did not actually happen. There is research which suggests that up to 20% of those studied maintain a record of detailed personal memories that are completely false (Mazzoni, Scoboria, and Harvey, 2010).

How did the Mandela effect start?

The Mandela effect refers to a situation in which a large mass of people believes that an event occurred when it did not. This phenomenon was named by paranormal researcher Fiona Broome. in 2009, after she discovered that she, along with a number of others, believed that Nelson Mandela had died in the 1980s (when he actually died in 2013).

She could remember news coverage of his funeral — even though he later became the president of South Africa, and passed away in 2013. After she found others who misremembered the same thing, she began studying the phenomena of collective false memory. Thus the Mandela effect was born!

Why do I think I did something when I didn't?

False memories can be a form of obsessive thinking. Someone experiencing false memory OCD may suffer from doubts about their ability to accurately recall events. They may wonder if they did something wrong, even when there's no evidence of that being the case.

Here are a few famous examples of the Mandela effect.

‘Luke, I am your father.’

Many people misquote James Earl Jones’s famous line from the 1980 film “Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back.”

Instead of “Luke, I am your father,” Darth Vader actually says, “No, I am your father.”

Berenstein Bears

Many fans of the popular children’s series, “The Berenstain Bears,” remember the bears’ family name as “Berenstein,” after the authors.

In reality, both the bears and the author’s name are Berenstain.

Monopoly monocle

The earliest known version, known as The Landlord's Game, was designed by Elizabeth Magie and first patented in 1904, but existed as early as 1902.

What did the Monopoly Man look like in the game Monopoly? Many people assert he had a monocle and cane.

He did not have a monocle. This provides evidence for a visual Mandela Effect.

‘Play it again, Sam.’

In “Casablanca,” another Hollywood classic, people remember Humphrey Bogart’s character Rick saying, “Play it again, Sam.” Some people say they can even “hear” his voice saying those words.

However, Ingrid Bergman’s character Elsa says, “Play it, Sam.”

Sinbad’s Shazam

Some people who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s reported on a movie called “Shazam,” in which Sinbad played a genie. Many argue they're confusing this memory with the movie Kazaam, starring Shaquille O'Neal as a genie.

Sinbad never made such a movie.

The popular family-dividing board game first featured a mustachio’d banker in the 1936 U.S. version. the Monopoly Man, whose real name is Rich Uncle Pennybags, wears a monocle. The lucrative mascot, in fact, did not have a monocle (and never has)

People swear there was a "Jiffy" peanut butter back in the day, but some speculate they're combining Jif with its competitor, Skippy.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

We all remember the scene — the evil queen summons the spirit of a talking mirror, inquiring who is the “fairest of them all.”

How Some Remember It:

“Mirror Mirror on the Wall.”

“Magic Mirror on the Wall.”

Shaggy’s Adam’s Apple

Do you remember Shaggy from Scooby Doo with a big Adam’s apple — maybe as he inhales a giant sandwich? So do tons of others, but in reality, it’s nowhere to be seen.

Tony the Tiger's Nose

Tony the Tiger has a blue nose, not black. Many people remember the famous Frosted Flakes mascot with a black nose, probably because of the color of his stripes.

Looney Tunes, Not Toons

Curious George's Tail ... was never there.

'Sex and the City'

While these four women were having sex in the city, the show was actually titled Sex and the City.

Febreze - but be honest: You thought it was "Febreeze," didn't you?

One of the most confounding of all: There's an "A" in "Mayer"?! Honest to goodness, we thought it was Meyer.

Kellogg had been spelling fruit like that for years and we only noticed it now.  Froot Loops

If you've just had an existential crisis about the fact that there's no hyphen in between "Kit" and "Kat," know that you're not alone.

Fruit of the looms used to have a cornucopia behind the fruit ... right? Right?!

Cheez-It or Cheez-Itz?

We swear, there used to be an extra "z" at the end! What. Is. Happening?

Double "Stuf" Oreos

you're trying to tell us there isn't a second "f" in Stuf

C-3PO Has a Silver Leg

Even the biggest Star Wars fans (and Halloween costumes) get it wrong. The robot isn't all gold; he has one silver piece on his right leg.

5th dimension

How do you know if you're in the 5th dimension?

It's as if you've gained a sixth sense — one that navigates the vibrations and energies that conventional senses can't perceive. This heightened awareness is a hallmark of residing in the 5th dimension, where every sensory experience is a communion with the greater cosmic tapestry.

What are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th dimensions?

The first three dimensions are the typical height, breadth and width. According to Einstein's relativity, the fourth dimension is time since the interaction of space-time are the same for all observers. The fifth dimension is called tesseract which is referred to as the concept of entanglement in Quantum Physics.

How to explain the 5th dimension?

In physics, information has sometimes been proposed as the fifth dimension, the first three being the three axes of space, and the fourth being time. This is because information influences and shapes the physical reality of the universe similar to space and time.

What is the fifth dimension in spiritual terms?

The 5th Dimension is a life of Spirit, but there is still an experience of I as an individual member of the group. Linear time and space do not fear, and there is no illusion of separation or limitation. Instead, there is a constant experience of the all.
